Job Description:

Allied Oil & Tire Company is a family owned business. This well established, 58 year regional distributor of nationally branded tires and lubricants is searching for an enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn.

Summary: Manages service shop by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Supervises employees, coordinates work schedules and directs workers to specific duties such as customer service, vehicle maintenance, or repair work.

 

Dispatches road service calls.

 

Directs, coordinates, and participates in performing customer service activities.

 

Reconciles cash with sales slips and credit card charges.

 

Orders, receives, and inventories tires, truck accessories and parts.

 

Receives phone calls and answers questions from current and potential customers concerning price quotes, placing orders and status of orders.

 

Must be able to do the job functions of a service tech.

 

Train new service techs.

 

Needs to be or become TIA certified.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                                 

Supervises the Tire Service Technicians.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, bills of lading and work orders.

 

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills to include excel
